Gary's
Took my 2018 F 150 there for a full rebuild and it didn't work out. Took it back a month later and he reworked it and it still wasn't right. Ended up trading it in. If I'd done that from the start I would've saved about 5K.
I know Gary's been around for a long time, but the last time I talked to him, I did not get the warm and fuzzy from him. He knew me from past repairs that I had sent to him for fleet customers, but he talked to me like I had no idea what I was talking about, and told me that he doesn't really rebuild 10 speeds anymore, he just buys them from the dealership. I was super surprised at that statement, but maybe because he had too many issues with the rebuild?
The interesting thing, is circle D also told me the same thing a while back. They said it takes too long to get parts for the 10 speeds, so they just buy them from the counter.
The place I suggested above, had it rebuilt in six business days, and put a warranty behind it.
