I've been watching this 6-episode series "Turning Point: The Vietnam War" and I'm curious to hear from the history buffs what you think they got wrong, misrepresented, or ignored.

One thing that stood out was just how negatively Nixon was portrayed in contrast to LBJ. The general tone is LBJ: eh not great; Nixon: pure evil.

Vietnam was one of LBJs worst actions. Nixon wasn't much netter but at least he ended it. I've only watched 2 episodes but I watched all of then Ken Burns, read a ton of books, plus I had a tour over there. That hardly qualifies me as an expert but I will tell you my main job while there was to keep my buddies alive. There was no land to grab, no objective to occupy, no grand plan. And the only politician I saw over there was GEN Abrams.
