You guys will be alright. Maybe we meet in round 1. I hate TexasU as much as you do. I was pulling for ya'll tonight. But just know making the playoffs helps bigtime in your programs future. We at ND havent won a title since 1987 but the last 10 years of making playoffs and National Championship games has allowed us to catapult in to top 10 and even top 5 recruiting classes. Texas A&M making the playoffs is gonna open some doors for your chance at future talent. You just gotta stay positive on the season youve had and the returns it will bring.

IMO, the real season starts with the playoffs anyway. And the holes on this Aggie team were present before we lost tonight so not sure why so many are so surprised and upset.
Regroup, get healthy and get ready for the 'real' season.

Aggie fans are solid. I'm a Notre Dame fan and I moved to Texas and A&M is my favorite Texas team. If ND doesnt win it all...I would love to see A&M win it all.
We've recruited better than ND generally. But we currently play a lot of 3-stars since in Year 2 of a rebuild.

Notre Dame lost 2 of the only 3 real games it had, coming away with a W over 8-3 USC, whose only ranked win was over a Michigan team without a ranked win.
I'm pretty sure A&M is going to stay positive going 11-1 and making the playoffs without the need for scrounging for self respect and positives.
Faustus, understood but you did forget about Pitt that we beat who is also ranked and has a chance at the ACC Championship.
If you put on the table a choice between a national title in the next 20 years or winning against Texas 90% of the time over the next 20 years I'd take the ruining their season over the title.

hph....im gonna have to disagree with ya respectfully....our biggest rival is USC and I will gladly take losing to them 20 years in a row for a National Title right now.

I'm not sure if Pitt beating Miami further devalues your path or bolsters the bona fides.
As you noted though earlier it doesn't really matter for ND as long as it has a seat at the table.
Thanks for the kind words. I would love to play ND for the national title and I hope you end up in the bracket playing Ohio State and beat them. I don't think tu will make the field with 3 losses. Beating us at home by 10 doesn't 25 point loss to Georgia or the 8 point loss to Florida or the near losses to MSU and Kentucky. But if ou, Vandy, ND, UVA, Bama, and 2 other 2 loss teams lose tomorrow, tu might squeeze in. I don't see much of any of that happening.

it's sad the the obvious has to be stated. but the playoffs start for us now. get everyone healthy including moss and let's see how the cards fall. i am still very bullish on this team. sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way. good teams pick themselves up look themselves in the mirror and improve. we have a few weeks to do that. get healthy and let's just see where we end up.
