1988 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

Rebuilt V6. Standard transmission.

Just updated the registration so that'll be good through 10/26.

I've owned this for 2 years for fun around town weekend vehicle... golf cart substitute.

No AC. Struggles to go faster than 45mph. Loud. But loads of fun.

Previous owner rebuilt the V6 and updated the fuel injection system. I have a detailed report from him on all the work.

Bikini top, cover, and full doors included. I've also got a box of part and other misc from the previous owner that you are welcome to.

Any frame rust?

Does it have a back seat?

Do you know if the 4WD works?

I would say the rust is pretty minor for the age. I had a jeep guy take a look at it last weekend and he thought the whole thing was in really good shape. See pic below for example. The leaf springs have the most rust, the rest is just light dots here and there.

No idea on the 4WD. I've never attempted to use it. I'm pretty sure the previous owner (bought in 2013) told me he never attempted to use it either.

She's also not too happy we are selling the Jeep - she loves cruising with me with the doors off.

Looking for a wrangler, misread the title as 1998. The pics weren't lining up age wise, then I realized Im a dumbass. I'm looking for late 90's or early 2000's. Good luck with the sale.

Can you elaborate on the motor? These came with a 4 cylinder or an inline 6 cylinder. No V6. But I see different gauges, so maybe something motor swapping has happened

Sorry - just habit to call something 6 cylinder a V6.... it's an inline 6.

Here's the commentary from the docs I have:

Pulled original 258 cid (4.2L) inline 6 that was modified from stock to have most of emissions system bypassed... similar to "nutter bypass" process as outlined in multiple posts on many different jeep forums.

Engine was brought o Parks Engine Service in Seguin, TX for a complete rebuild and reassembly. During servicing, the engine was bored to .040 from original. All work is documented by invoice 47681."

That's the notes on the engine. That was done in Oct 2016. While the engine was out lots of other parts were also replaced like clutch, master cylinder, and plenty more.
