Dana Brown said the Astros have "over 10 candidates that we're talking to" in search of a new farm director to replace Jacob Buffa. AGM Gavin Dickey is leading the search and Brown will get involved as the candidate pool narrows

an at home cheerleader?
Dana Brown said the Astros have to “firm up” their outfield. Part of that calculation: is Cam Smith the everyday right fielder? Brown made it clear today: Smith doesn’t have a guaranteed roster spot headed into spring training - https://t.co/jJFW8gnppn

Donovan and Noot, go get 1 or both.
Edit: Gray too. Cost controlled pitching? Bye Spaghetti, Alexander, and Pecko.

And play them where exactly?
Nootbaar is a LFer. Yordan, Altuve? They aren't going anywhere
Move Jose back to 2B you say? Then where is Paredes playing? You don't need Donovan at 2B. Or if you do you have way too many guys there.
If you want Donovan and Nootbaar, get rid of Paredes and someone else. Because 2B and LF is already a jumbled mess.

Lars can play all 3 OF spots. He played mainly CF in 23 and mainly RF in 24. His lefty bat would work well in this lineup.
Donovan makes less sense now but I wouldn't hate him at 2B and Altuve in LF.
Vs RHP
Paredes 1B
Donovan 2B
Pena SS
Correa 3B
Altuve LF
Nootbar CF
Sanchez RF
Alvarez DH
That's a stacked team.

Padres up for sale. Could be good or bad for them. They have the fan support, and if they can find an owner that doesn't care about losing money short-term and is willing to eat some bad contracts, it changes their future
