The Roosevelt is a great hotel with an awesome location. The Sazarac Bar in the hotel is great for a night cap. The hotel is really nicely decorated for Christmas. I also like The Pontchartrain Hotel in the Garden District. It has a boutique hotel feel. The rooftop bar is cool and has great views. The disadvantage is that it's a ways from the French Quarter so I'd imagine most would Uber vs. walking.
