I Blame Sark for this Mess

I understand we are dealing with young players but this Arch situation is on Sark. The NIL hype, and Sark, traded real talent for a legacy name. The coach is supposed to know better. Instead we lost another year of Ewers.

Ewers contributions to UT and his draft position made it clear he should have finished his third year. Manning should have been the one to transfer. NIL plays a role but this is not new. Before NIL, Mack Brown made the same mistake when Chris Simms took snaps that should have gone to Applewhite. At this point out of spite Ewers should have gone back to Ohio State and hung 40 points on us. This is coaching mismanagement at the highest level.

Why are you posting this here? I believe Surly Horns and Hornfans still exist. Orangebloods may as well.

2* QB with a 5* name. Enjoy your $6.2M dollar paper weight.

Sark got what he wanted, THE marquee name that lured follow on recruits.

Not a bad strategy, but he's now paying a much higher price than he first thought.

The thing that gets me is how every school falls prey to many recruiting "analysts" who never played a down of football at any meaningful level.

Sark is not the offensive genius the media claims him to be….

Your defense is elite, though.

I've been saying it. Arch had every advantage imaginable. Was as developed of a player as training could create. Was an early developer physically to where he even had a physical advantage over many defensive players he played against. His team was loaded with D1 talent and several D1 receivers. All the possible advantages and he couldn't win at a high level. Those advantages are gone now and a 2* qb is revealed. What should have been obvious. The best qb's in HS put up crazy numbers and win lots of games.

Agreed. The funny/weird thing is how hyped he was from his junior year on. Playing private school in Louisiana seems like someone would have taken a more critical look at his tape but they were too infatuated with the last name to bother. And for whatever reason, Sark can't or won't make a change (maybe they have nobody behind him).
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

Disagree. Lil' Manning made his decision and now he has to live with it. He could've signed with a real school, but he chose to go to the Hateful Forty Acres. He got a ton of money and is now a national laughing stock.

I hope it was worth it. Maybe he can leave school and go to work for jock sniffer Matthew's McKindofGay.
