We never did horns down when I was in school. And for maybe a decade after. That was an OU thing.

OP spent his Saturday night camped out on TexAgs, watching the Aggie game, and e-defending a school he never attended. Seems like a colossal waste of time and perhaps even a cry for help, but you do you.
Everyone but the sips do the horns down!
Maroon is correct. It was an OU thing and now all of our students do it. Annoying as hell. I remember leaving a game in Norman after whipping them during the John Blake years and the stupid boomers gave me the horns down like I was a sip.
I still blame fish camp.
So what? The only people that care about "horns down" are TEX fans. They might made their bed by trying to make it a penalty. The entire nation does it now. So be it.

We did horns down in the late 80's and early 90's while I was in school. However, we only did it when playing t.u. and it was usually accompanied by "Poooooor t-sips"!
Texas fans are such ******* about horns down, i guess the next move will be for the petition the SEC to ban it

What I can't stand about horns down is that we do it when we aren't playing them. To me, that shows they are in our head 24/7. Do it all day, everyday when we are playing them, but it makes us look like little brother when we are playing other teams
