Started following his feed about 2 months ago. Absolute gold mine for "memba" tournament scandals. Had a guy from Temple or Belton on his report about a month ago.

Yeah - he posted about some guys from my club a while back.

He also had one post about a guy in a Sugar Tree net tournament out in Lipan that got like 130K. I don't know if it was a Calcutta, but I'd think at those numbers there would be closer scrutiny on the event.

I know this dude. I guess he's accusing him of whipping his GHIN, but Barrett is 100% an 8 hc. And Alex is a VERY good golfer. The $138k was calcutta winnings. It's really funny to mention the Victoria Country Club Tax Time tournament in that video, because that's a lfighted 2-man scramble and the payout is awful. I got 2nd in my flight last year and barely made my money back.

Hard to take this guy's videos seriously after seeing such an ill-informed video about someone you actually know.

I definitely don't think he was full on accusing this guy. Just sorta eye winking at a major money run for an 8 handicap. That one imo seemed the tamest of em all

I'm not fluent in handicap terminology like "soft cap" and other terms he uses. But I get the drift. I mostly enjoy his commentary on buttoning polo shirts all the way to the top, sock tan lines, black socks on white shoes, and overall just ****ting on a lot of these bozos.

But the algorithm is now feeding me all kinds of scramble content. Saw one the other day where a tournament made teams play their final hole in front of a crowd. It was a total mess.

Let's say you are scratch, a 0 handicap. That likely means you have a bunch of scores in the low 70s or upper 60s depending on the course you play. Then all of a sudden, you start posting a bunch of upper 70s or 80s (or even higher), pushing some of your low rounds out of your handicap calculation. As your handicap is recalculated, it starts moving up quickly. A soft cap will start to slow down the upward movement of your handicap once it increases to 3. A hard cap places a firm limit on 5. So no matter how many 80s rounds your post, your handicap won't pass 5 until at least a year since you were a 0.

As far as the videos go, it's mind blowing to me that people actually play scrambles with Calcuttas.

Yeah, notice a guy with a low handicap of +3.4 has seen it move up to 0.1. In late May/early June, he puts up an 83 and an 88 and then essentially shuts the spigot off after one more score, while his feet say "this guy has been playing plenty of golf lately!"

At the same time, his buddy has moved his from a low of 0.6 to a 3.7 and has submitted hardly any scores this year.

Big picture, looks like they both sandbagged by at least 3-4 shots each. Puts em in a weaker flight that they then destroyed 2nd place by 13 shots.
