Who's been to an away Ryder Cup? I'll be wrapping up my 2 year MBA program in May 2027, so I'll be looking to do something really big to celebrate having a life again. I've always wanted to go to Ryder Cup, especially an away one. European RC fans are so much better than ours, but that's another story.

Anyone looking to go to Ireland?

Definitely something I want to do but this one seems like it could be a logistical nightmare. The town is apparently not very big and I think getting to and from the course will be an issue based on what people that have been there told me

Agree with the poster above. I've helped folks in the past and this one is certainly more difficult logistically. If you're serious about, it I'd consider a package that included hotels and ground transfers, obviously more expensive but if you're going to spend the money to be there, it might be worth it to go all the way.

My understanding is even the Ryder Cup has acknowledged they don't have enough infrastructure or hotels to get the number of people necessary from nearby bigger towns to the manor. They are supposedly trying to add roads / light rail access and hotels in the region, but based on it's location and the short amount of time that's probably a pipe dream to be anywhere close to what it needs to be.

So unless you get lucky and pay ridiculous prices, you might have to stay and travel a long ways to get to the course and it might be a real cluster. Even by international golf standards.

Have a group going for a golf trip 7-10 days in advance and ending with the Ryder Cup on that Friday or Saturday. I've just started putting an itinerary together. That said, I did just book an Airbnb in Killarney for that Thursday- Saturday. Looks to be around 1-1/2 hours away. Everything "close" to Adare is stupid expensive.

Could even stay in Ennis, I'm sure that they'll be a park & ride type option out of Limerick. If I were going, I'd stay with family in Ennis.

Last March, when we visited adore manor, they were well on the way with the train build. I bet it gets done in time. Still limited regional housing will make it difficult.
