tweaked my back a few weeks ago and am wondering if I should play with some sort of brace to keep the tweaks to a minimum.

Anyone have a good one?

so in the last year I've torn a meniscus, had melanoma cut off and tweaked my back....getting old is killing me...haha.

Before I got my l5-S1 under control, I played with this one every now and then.

I will occasionally get flare ups from activity now and still use it, but haven't had to play with one in forever. Tons of support and adjustability.


Also had my share of bad luck with back pain, melanoma, torn bicep tendon, torn labrum, and bone spur in the shoulder. Welcome to old age

I'm using Stoko compression shorts. Expensive, but have really helped me and a younger son who has back issues.

also tore my peroneal tendon in my ankle...forgot about that one...haha.

Been curious on those. Mixed reviews. Herniated disc 5 yrs ago has changed golf for me forever. I still play once a week, but it's just a cat and mouse game of feeling kinda ok, play a round, have a week of pain, get back to playable, play a round, pain, rinse and repeat

I do KT tape that runs from my glute up my lower back one on each side. Works well

Full tension on the tape?

They've been a big help for my lumbar issues (multiple bulging disks, stenosis). I was having frequent muscle strains as my body compensated, and no issues since. I even wear them for heavy duty yard work.

Sounds like you need to rest & recovery! Rehab and get stronger, then you can enjoy a round of golf
