Is there any reason the pressure treated lumber would need something special done to paint? Or stain for that matter?

Just make sure the wood has time to dry before finishing.

If it is new pressure treated, it needs to dry a minimum of 30 days after installation before coating it with anything. If you're painting, it's better to prime it before the finish coat of paint

You could probably paint it sooner since those boards are so thin.
