We might be in SA for New Years - is there a great place to watch fireworks or other ways to spend New Years?

I would imagine the Moon's Daughter or 1Watson downtown would have a big thing going on. My want to check those out.
Most rooftop bars will more than likely require a reservation. I would call. Moon's Daughter would be an excellent place.
Where are you staying? The Grand Hyatt pool deck would be excellent as well.

The Kimpton has an elevated bar, as does the Fairmont.
If y'all don't want to pay for drinks and a spot, there's several parking garages you can walk to the top of as well.
Expect a big crowd.

The Coates Student Ctr at Trinity University has an excellent, elevated view of all of downtown and Ft Sam Houston. Park at Alamo stadium lot and walk across Devine. Probably will be there again this year.
My wife and headed to SA on last minute to catch a Spurs game. Anyone recommend a hotel downtown they like or at the Riverwalk?

Historic hotel….St. Anthony.
Hotel Emma will cost you $600/night. Maybe more during the holidays.
Might be hard to get a reservation downtown at this date. NYE is a pretty big deal in SA.
