The fact he didn't become a US Citizen until he was 4 y/o tells me that his mother was probably not a US Citizen and his father obviously didn't get his paperwork straight when he was born.
Conversely, because the rules are different depending on whether your mother or father is the American, it didn't matter if Obama really was born in Kenya.
