I always feel obligated to post about today and tell my feelings on the subject. It is one of my favorite dates in history for infamous reasons.

Entering WWII seemed inevitable, but the Empire of Japan hastened it this Sunday AM. It was the begining of the birth of American superiority both in military apects, leadership, and economics. Of course the Texas Aggies were ready. I have always quoted that 20,000 Texas Aggies served in WWII and Texas A&M fully supported this number. We stepped up ROTC commissions and graduations by most notably graduating commissioned officers in 9 months cycles instead of a calendar year. Those Texas Aggies that didn't get commissioned from A&M and had enough college credits to direct commission for aviation, etc did so. Those without enough college credits to directly commission simply enlisted and still gave a good showing by going on to become highly decorated soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen.

Please remember today and teach your children and younger friends and colleagues about the sacrifices all americans made today.
