I really like our mirror opponents. OU, sips, and LSU are maybe the most manageable 3 mirror opponents you can get. As far as the rest of the schedule, that away schedule is brutal for Bucky's first year. At least we get Florida and Kentucky at Reed. I'm ready for Bucky ball!

Pretty sure this is just a flip of home/away from last year, similar to football, right?

The sequencing is going to be the interesting thing. Would be nice if those Florida and Kentucky home games are as late in the season as possible.

Man you just never know. That's the beauty of college bball. These teams change a ton from non conference to Jan to March.

How much is UK and UF returning?

Even if they're not returning anyone (they are, especially Florida, who likely starts next year as a top ten team, but even if they weren't) they're still returning their coaching staffs.

I think that's a somewhat underrated part of this deal is that our coaching staff hasn't worked together before either. Bucky has worked with Cole, and Cole has worked with Keller; Cole, Keller and Haith have all worked with Rich before but Bucky hasn't.

I know nobody likes talking about boring back-end program logistics but that stuff matters and we're going to be so far behind everyone else that for me the later in the season we can play anyone any good, the better.

We return our entire front court, lost our whole back court, brought in Boogie Fland from Arkansas and Xavian Lee from Princeton to fill that, plus a couple freshman. Lunardi has us as the overall number one seed right now, but would be shocked if we're that good. Top 10ish is more realistic, but you never know how a team will gel. We could be like UNC last year.
What I do know is that whenever we play you, take the over, gonna be some points in that game.

I didn't wonder when he told us. I certainly don't now…

Brutal is right. I feel bad for those teams that are going to have to chase us around on their own court.

I had always heard "permanent opponents" but these days I hesitate to call anything in college sports permanent. I kinda like "mirror opponents."

permanent in college sports means 1 year, then we'll see if we like it, then maybe we do it again, but most likely will change

Ok. So everybody knows who the SEC games are but we still don't know dates.
