Dark horse for 6th man of the year for our team. He's got a good looking shot; you can't leave him open.

I'm not convinced he's not a starter.
This dude's 22 and has been playing at a competition level even higher than the SEC. The biggest adjustment for him will be how much contact defenses are allowed in the American college game. The high end SEC teams are also probably more athletic overall, but nowhere near as skilled as who he's been playing against.
But the influx of European players into the college game is going to be interesting to follow this year. These aren't some the old 18 year old projects, a lot of these guys are already professional basketball players in really competitive leagues.

I had the same thought as Bob.
I had Griffen penciled in as the starting 3 and excited about it.
With his shooting ability, apparent quick release, extensive international experience, sturdy build, it might be Dominguez.

Question with Griffen, Mgbako and Dominguez is whether they can guard anyone.
But if you can put three or four guys on the court that all shoot near 37% from 3 or better it might not matter if you can guard anyone.

He shoots from pretty low, which could be a concern on closeouts in the ultra talented SEC. maybe less concern in transition.
Tech had a fantastic guard from IItaly, when they made their run to the Champiinship game. I love the European players. He was 6'3" and 180 though- not 6'6" 220!

Just a random observation based on the highlights, he has kind of a forward lean when he shoots and the release is further from his head in the x plane than most shooters. I'm not saying he gets a lot of shots blocked becasue I have no idea if that's the case but it seems like a potential issue.
It'd be a big issue on last years team where basically nobody could shoot, but he should have some space to work on this team. That shot is definitely pretty low and slow though.
He is 6-6 though, so that makes up for some of the low trajectories
It's like the diametric opposite of Tahaad Pettiford's shooting motion whose release is almost directly over his forehead . Granted Dominguez is 4-5 inches taller than Pettiford..
Can that woman replace Will Johnson?
