Not to sound too obsessed with Texas but that is crazy that they are in the top 10 with just one final four appearance. Above UCONN, Villanova, and Gonzaga?

Probably weighing tournament consistency over tournament results.

Texas has got to be (with Gonzaga) probably the biggest underachieving tournament team of the recent era. They've had several top ten regular season teams that didn't do anything in the postseason.

Them and UCLA are the only teams in the top ten without a title right and UCLA's been to the final four like four times in that stretch.

To me the team that really jumps out here is Baylor. They'd have been considered one of the worst power conference programs all the way until around 2005, so even with being behind about 8 years they're still in the top 15.

I don't think either one matters at all, if it's KenPom it's probably just basically your season AEM rating averaged over that era or something similar. How you do in the tournament would be irrelevant.

And Baylor?

Texas should be 10- 15 spots lower
