They will say it is his roommate or something. His girlfriend left it there and he will play until they lose. Then they will have a fake investigation and suspend him for next season opener against podunk junior college for the first half

"Why did Holloway play? Well I emailed our compliance office and athletic director but it's spring break this week at Alabama and all I got back was an out-of-office reply so I just assumed we were good to go and we'd deal with this when they get back in the office."

It just means it isn't "legal" marijuana. Legal dealers pay taxes and have a tax stamp on their product. Kind of like the TABC sticker on a liquor bottle.

Regardless of someone's thoughts on marijuana - this seems to be selling/distributing, not just personal use. With NIL this is just dumb. You don't need this money.

Also, pretty shocked there isn't a gun charge along with it. Dude is selling and doesn't have a gun???

Alabama's Aden Holloway is no longer with the team, as the university announced that the star guard has been "removed from campus" in the wake of his drug arrest Monday morning.

Holloway, the No. 2 scorer for the Crimson Tide, will be off the team until he goes through the school's investigation process, which is conducted outside of the athletic department through the UA Office of Student Conduct.

Which means that the investigation will conclude on Thursday and will be eligible to play on Friday.
