Any good sports apps out there? I've been using the ESipN one, which is decent for the major sports, but sucks for NCAA baseball and the WBC - can't follow a team, just get scores. It's 2026; is this the best we get?

D1baseball has an app for iOS and are working on one for Android.

Is it subscription?

D1 Baseball app is "free" but is essentially worthless if you don't buy the $8 per year subscription.

SEC Baseball app is great but is only SEC…

College baseball coverage is just sorely lacking. Better than it used to be but still pretty crappy.

The Varsity Network app is free and has all of our baseball games.

Negative, they aren't even tied together (or weren't anyway) for favorites / following / etc. I suspect someone white-labeled the app for them and gets most of the in-app purchase fee but who knows....

Sports alert

Dang, the ESPN app is just too easy at this point. Takes a couple of minutes to zero in, but works well for me. Other just haring ESPN....

I use the ESPN a lot, for all manner of sports news, schedules and watching. I will say their college baseball coverage is magnitudes better than it was a few years ago, but the bar was really low because not long ago it was basically nonexistent.

Both the app and their website give college baseball at best 3rd tier service. There isn't a dedicated menu heading; you can't favorite or follow teams. No rankings, no news, no filtering by conference or top 25.

But at least they do mostly update the score real time now. Just a couple years ago they were at best 30-60 minutes behind real time.

I paid for the D1 app for a long time, then they started publishing the scores same info on d1baseball.com for free. So now even on mobile 99% of the time I just go to their website.

Also still hoping for great things from this app, eventually
