and slow starts in conference play have been a trend in recent seasons.

for our first 2007 vs. 2026 comparison...Childress year 2 vs. Earley year 2

after 16 games, the '07 squad was also 15-1...and in the middle of a weekend tournament at Olsen Field

the loss came to #6 Arizona State in the second game of the season in the Astros Classic

the wins included victories over #1 Rice and defending national champ #7 Oregon State

so optimism was high that the program had turned the corner after the 05 and 06 seasons

interestingly...the 2007 team also played in Norman -- dropping 2 of 3 to the #20 Sooners in a late March series

The other two are homeless persons from Congress Avenue who were given free tickets from a rich teassip who had a dinner date tonight and did not want to attend the game at Dish-Rag Field.
