Ridge Point OL Avery Morcho Schedules Texas A&M OV
2026 Ridge Point OL Avery Morcho has scheduled his official visit to Texas A&M for the weekend of June 13th-15th. Morcho has been a target for the Aggies since he was offered at camp last summer and is one of the top offensive lineman in the Houston area and the state. He has made multiple trips to Aggieland for gamedays and recently visited last weekend to take in spring practice. After that visit, Morcho told TexAgs "Texas A&M is one of the top half of my schools that I have. They're really separating themselves from all the other schools that I've really been talking to."As of right now, he also has a OV set for SMU on June 6th-8th.
Around the SEC: Recruiting News & Trends
It's time to take a look around at the biggest pickups on the recruiting front as well as some of the top recruiting news and notes from around the SEC. Jason Howell details that and more in this week's Around the SEC.
A few Monday recruiting notes
Destrehan (LA) 2026 wide receiver Jabari Mack has his eyes on four: LSU, Ohio State, Texas, and Texas A&M. "Really right now all of them are all pretty even," Mack said. "I feel the love from all of them." The 6-foot, 190-pound playmaker has summer official visits scheduled to all four, and he has spring unofficial visit plans for all four. He will be in College Station for an unofficial visit the weekend of Texas A&M's spring game on April 19, and he will return for his official visit the weekend of June 5. A few aspects of the Texas A&M program currently have his attention. "Really coach Wiggins," Mack said. "Like I said, his resume. And, the whole staff really treats me like family over there." As for a decision, he is trying to nail down a timeline, but he does have a few ideas. "Definitely before my senior season," Mack said. "Maybe right after my OVs. I don't know." He also has a few things he is looking for in a potential college home. "Development, just a nice family environment, and really somewhere I'm going to learn how to be a man outside the sport," Mack said. *************Chatsworth (CA) Sierra Canyon cornerback Havon Finney Jr. recently reclassified from the class of 2027 to the class of 2026, and Texas A&M is squarely on his radar. The Aggies offered in May of 2024, and he will take a spring unofficial visit to College Station on March 29. "They've been talking to me for a little minute now. Just explaining to me they are a rising program. They do really well with their d-line which makes it easier for the DBs. They have a great DB coach there. Their head coach is a defensive guy. So it's a really good school for DBs to go to." He has yet to visit, so he is excited to get a firsthand look at everything in Aggieland. "Just seeing how well they coach their DBs, how they develop, and just see the campus and the environment," Finney said ***************Denton (TX) Guyer DE Zane Rowe has mentioned plans to return to College Station this spring, but he has been working to solidify the date. He now has a date, April 19 for Texas A&M's spring game and he is most excited about experiencing one thing while in town. "That 12th Man culture you already know," Rowe said. "Seeing all the fans and stuff come out and just show support and see the stadium rock how everybody says. I bet that's big." In addition to Texas A&M he will also visit Baylor (March 22), TCU (April 4), SMU (April 5), and Nebraska (April 26). With quite a few reclassifications going on these days, I asked Rowe, who received his first offers as a freshman, if he had any reclassification plans of his own. "I do not plan to reclass up. I'm cool in the 27 class. I'll still be a mid-year, so why rush? So I can get an extra year to develop and I can still play early either way. **********St. John Bosco wide receiver and Texas A&M commit Madden Williams continues to turn heads this spring.
