Texas A&M hosted a few top prospects from California on Friday, including a few recent offers. All are part of Team Toa who competed at the OT7s in Dallas over the weekend. Long Beach (CA) Poly 2027 cornerback Donte Wright (6-1, 170) received his Texas A&M offer at the end of January, and Friday was his first visit to College Station."I loved the Texas A&M visit," Wright said. "I love the atmosphere."Thank you @AggieFootball for an amazing visit. @GregBiggins @BlairAngulo @ChadSimmons_ @LBPoly_Football @TEAMTOARECRUITS pic.twitter.com/zwWJxRCAJs— Donte' Wright (@DonteWright_11) March 21, 2025
"When I went to the practice I could see myself playing the role their cornerback Will Lee is playing," Wright said. "I love the defensive schemes they run, and overall it was a great trip."In addition to the Aggies, Wright holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Cal, Colorado State, Oregon, and Penn State. In addition to football he also competes on the track where he is a member of one of the top 4x100m teams in the country. The Poly 4x100 team posted a top 10 high school time of 40.70 and he clocked a 10.85 in the 100m earlier this season.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19530371/670426228b48470fb6a9b567********Long Beach (CA) Wilson 2027 CB Evan Mack (6-4, 175) received his Texas A&M offer in February and the Aggies became his first SEC offer. Like Wright, Friday was also his first visit to College Station, and the Aggies made a strong impression. Had an amazing visit at Texas A&M!! thank you @AggieFootball @TEAMTOARECRUITS @joejoeheaden @CoachMikeElko pic.twitter.com/bcdbnHIOl3— Evan Mack (@evanmackk) March 22, 2025
"Oh I loved it," Mack said. "I loved the coaching. I loved the intensity during practice. I know they have a great coaching staff over there and I want to keep striving and hopefully I can schedule a visit back over there soon."Watching defensive backs coach Jordan Peterson, Mack was able to get a first hand view of his coaching style. "They're great," Mack said. "They produce a lot of great corners. I just know they know what they're doing."Mack's offer list also includes Arizona, Cal, Miami, Sacramento State, and UCLA. Equipped with an 80-inch wingspan, Mack is a multi-sport standout. In addition to competing on the gridiron, he is also a playmaker as a small forward on the hardwood.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19694948/670a06ffa52ed52f03a67600***************Palo Verdes Peninsula (CA) Palo Verdes 2028 S Jalen Flowers (6-1, 160) was one of just a few 2028 prospects in College Station over the weekend, and he left holding an offer from the Aggies. "It was great," Flowers said. "It was my first SEC offer and watching practice it just shows the levels to the game. I just like how violent their safeties are and DBs, and how they can play all around."As a freshman in 2024, he recorded ten PBUs, an interception, and 25 tackles as a key member of the Palo Verdes championship squad. In addition to Texas A&M, he also holds offers from Arizona, Colorado State, Louisville, and Syracusehttps://www.hudl.com/video/3/23119924/66f18a369171456468a5758a
