“Let’s review the bidding a little bit. Back when they were deciding whether or not to stay in the conference or leave the conference, I served on the Board of Regents, and I really wanted to see Texas A&M join the Southeastern Conference. Now that they joined the Southeastern Conference, I wanted to see them be competitive the first year.
