Before embarking on any long trip, a tune up is always prudent to ensure everything is in working order.

So, on Saturday night, seventh-ranked Texas A&M pulled into Kyle Field to face overmatched Sam Houston State and tune up for next week’s colossal college football clash with No. 1 Alabama, the most treacherous step in a journey Aggies hope leads all the way to Pasadena in January.
