Loss of Ennis deals blow to Aggie defense

What many feared following the Arkansas game was announced as reality on Tuesday. Senior defensive tackle Kirby Ennis will miss the rest of the season, leaving Isaiah Golden as A&M's new man in the middle.

Texas A&M’s beleaguered defense suffered another blow Tuesday afternoon when Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin announced senior nose guard Kirby Ennis would miss the remainder of the season.

Ennis tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during the Aggies’ 45-33 victory over Arkansas on Sept. 28. The injury will require season-ending surgery.

“Kirby is going to have surgery and he will be done for the year,” Sumlin said. “He had an ACL tear.
