Darian Claiborne arrested on pair of drug charges

The freshman linebacker started the majority of Texas A&M's games and led the Aggies in tackles on his way to SEC All-Freshman acclaim, but his arrest on Sunday holds implications for the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Texas A&M linebacker Darian Claiborne was arrested on Sunday in Brazos County for possession of a dangerous drug and possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.

The arrest was first reported via Twitter by the website Good Bull Hunting.

Claiborne, who recently was named to the SEC All-Freshman team, led the Aggies in tackles with 89 and added seven tackles for loss. He also forced two fumbles.

The true freshman from Port Allen, La.
