The truth hurts. So did the consequences.

In truth, Texas A&M has relied heavily — often much too heavily — on leading scorers Jamal Jones and Davonte Fitzgerald this basketball season. They struggled to supply offense on Saturday afternoon and consequently A&M (12-7, 3-3) suffered a costly 66-55 Southeastern Conference loss to Vanderbilt (10-8, 2-4) before 6,520 at Reed Arena.
