Jared Mayden excited about first SEC offer

Texas A&M extended a new 2016 offer on Monday night, this one to the Sachse defensive back. He talked with TexAgs about his reaction, how he foresees his recruitment playing out and his thoughts on A&M.

The Latest: 2016 Sachse DB Jared Mayden

Mayden first appeared on A&M’s radar when he attended the one-day camp last summer; on Monday David Beaty reached out to extend Mayden his first SEC offer. Mayden also holds offers from Baylor and Texas and told us last night that he’s not favoring one school over another. He was, however, excited about receiving an offer from an SEC school because of the SEC’s reputation for putting defenders in the NFL.
