1. When doing last month’s Top 44 rankings I realized that you’d have a hard time arguing against placing any one of five players atop this year’s Texas recruiting list. I can’t remember the last time a class had that much competition for the No. 1 spot.

Daylon Mack, Malik Jefferson, Kyler Murray, Kendall Sheffield and Damarkus Lodge are all virtually interchangeable.
