Can Vanderbilt overcome change in Nashville?

Change was underway in Nashville under James Franklin's watch, but even that has changed. With Franklin gone and several positions up for grabs, there may be one saving grace for Vandy's momentum in 2014.

Nothing seems to come easy for Vanderbilt.

For years, the Commodores struggled as the Southeastern Conference’s football doormat. But after back-to-back nine-win seasons Vandy is in a position to post three straight winning years for the first time since 1957-59.

If that rare feat is to be accomplished, it will be without departed quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels, star receivers Jordan Matthews and Jonathan Krause and entire 2013 starting secondary.
