There is a changing of the guard of sorts in the Southeastern Conference as half the teams will start new quarterbacks in 2014.

Among the well-known departed are Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, Alabama’s A.J. McCarron, Georgia’s Aaron Murray and South Carolina’s Connor Shaw. Among the little-known projected replacements are Kyle Allen, Jacob Coker, Hutson Mason and Dylan Thompson.

Of course, there are still established quarterbacks on the edge of greatness.
