Kenny Hill named Texas A&M starting quarterback

Following a competition as dead even as any, the Aggies finally know who will get the first shot at replacing Johnny Manziel. With 12 days until the season opener, A&M announced Saturday that Hill will be the guy.

Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin announced on Saturday that sophomore Kenny Hill will be the Aggies' starting quarterback.

Hill edged true freshman Kyle Allen in a fierce competition that Sumlin and quarterbacks coach Jake Spavital called a “dead heat” throughout August camp.
