New-look defense debuts in style as Ags roll past SFA

Tim DeRuyter’s debut as Texas A&M defensive coordinator could not have followed the script any better than it did in Saturday night’s 48-7 season-opening victory over Stephen F. Austin, in front of an opening-game Kyle Field record crowd of 81,287.

The new-look Aggie D brought back the 3-4 scheme with an effort that would make the legends of Wrecking Crew’s past stand up and applaud.
