A&M QB Kenny Hill vs. Rice DC Chris Thurmond
Once the Aggie cornerbacks coach, Thurmond is now the man in charge of David Bailiff's 4-2-5 defense. The Owls may lack the talent necessary to keep up with the A&M offense for four quarters, but Rice's base set features five experienced defensive backs that — combined with a bye week — will allow Thurmond to throw the entire arsenal of looks, coverages and blitzes at the young Aggie signal-caller.
