Solari Studies: Defensive struggles against Rice

Last season, around this time, Rice stormed into Aggieland and drove up and down Kyle Field, rushing for 306 yards and 509 total offensive yards. Final score, 52-31 Aggies.

Unfortunately, that game set the tone for our defense for the entire 2013 season. Fast forward to this past Saturday against the Owls. Repeat? I don’t think so.

But the Aggies did lose the third-down battle to an opponent for the first time in three games. Mainly this was due to several missed tackles.
