The 2015 Destrehan (La.) athlete and priority target visited for the Ole Miss game and left with a strong impression despite the result. The battle for Merritt isn't over, but the Aggies may have an advantage.

Merritt recently trimmed his list down to three schools; after a visit to Auburn two weeks ago, this past weekend was Texas A&M’s chance to impress the talented Louisiana athlete. And while A&M didn’t show well on the field against Ole Miss, that didn’t stop Merritt from loving his visit to Aggieland.

“I would give it a ten out of ten,” said Merritt. “I had a great time developing my relationship with the coaching staff down there.
