Even in victory, A&M's lackluster effort raises concern

The score sheet will show a win, but most who watched the Aggies' performance against an outmanned ULM squad won't agree. With Auburn waiting a week away, there are multiple concerns to address ... quickly.

On Saturday, the Aggies donned nostalgic uniforms to bring back memories of Texas A&M’s national championship team of 1939.

Yet, a lackluster 21-16 victory over Sun Belt Conference lightweight Louisiana-Monroe and some curious postgame comments seemed more like a throwback to 2005.

That year another coach celebrated a close win over Texas State by declaring any win was a good win.

Similar thoughts were echoed in the new interview rooms beneath Kyle Field.
