Hail State: Bulldogs' chance awaits in T-Town

This team is one unlike any other Mississippi State has ever put on the football field. At least, that's what it will aim to prove against Alabama with a Playoff shot on the line. Meanwhile, LSU-Arkansas will be close.

Mississippi State's shot at history

On Nov. 16, 1895, the Mississippi State Bulldogs played Union in the first football game in school history.

They lost, 21-0.

Hoping for a different outcome, the Bulldogs on Saturday enter the most important game in 115 seasons of Mississippi State football.

A victory against No. 4 Alabama would all but clinch first place in the Southeastern Conference West Division.

A win would give the Bulldogs a two-game lead with two games to play and lowly Vanderbilt next up.
