Great Expectations? What Sumlin seeks in A&M's bowl

Inexperience is no longer an excuse twelve games into the season. That was the message echoed by Kevin Sumlin on Sunday, and in accordance he believes next season can begin with a bang — on one condition.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin made it clear in a Liberty Bowl press conference on Sunday that he’s focused on the future.

That includes the near and distant future.

Though a victory over West Virginia on Monday is certainly the immediate priority, most Aggies are more interested in whether Bud Foster, John Chavis or someone else soon will be revealed as A&M’s next defensive coordinator.

Sumlin said he cannot yet divulge any information on the four-week search.
