A win is a win is a win. Not only that, on Tuesday the Aggies won by overcoming some usual issues. But to carry momentum from their first SEC victory of the season into Baton Rouge, they'll have to fix a few more.

1. A win is a win: It wasn't pretty and it wasn't very exciting, but A&M came away with its first conference win of the season. The first half saw limited outputs by both teams, with the score after the first period ended with a 28-27 Mississippi State lead. During the second half each team produced almost twice the offense as the game ended at 74-70 in favor of the Aggies.

Again, it wasn't pretty but A&M got a much-needed win heading into Baton Rouge for Saturday's matchup against LSU.
