Diamond Thoughts: Businesslike Aggies move to 7-0

Dreadful competition isn't enough to drown out the efficient manner in which Texas A&M has dominated at the plate and on the mound to open the season. While there is one concern, the Aggies' depth may override it.

Another series sweep by the Aggies and a 7-0 start to the 2015 baseball season. No. 16 Texas A&M outscored hapless — bad — Penn State, 29-7, to take three games over the weekend at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

Hitter of the Week: Nick Banks

The sophomore and preseason All-American went 8-for-15 (.533) in the four games last week, including a 4-for-4 game against Stephen F. Austin, quite likely the best team the Aggies have played so far this season.
