Aggies close spring with progress on the mind

Fifteen practices came and went, leaving A&M with an idea of where it came from and where it's headed. In the process, the Aggies focused in on maturity, followed their quarterback's growth and looked forward to wholesale defensive changes.

From all accounts, Texas A&M football players made significant progress during spring practice.

The task now is to build on that progress leading up to the season-opening game against Arizona State on Sept. 5.

And while most of the continued progress must be made on the playing field, some progress must be made off it.
