With one tight end already in the fold in the 2016 class, the Texas A&M football staff is hot on the trail in search of another to fill an H-back role. Brother Martin's (La.) Irvin Smith became the latest target Tuesday.

The Latest: 2016 Brother Martin TE Irvin Smith

On Tuesday Texas A&M moved on another tight end prospect, one the Aggies envision often lining up in an H-back type role. The staff had been zeroing in on New Orleans product Irvin Smith the last few weeks.

"They had been talking to me more consistently the past two or three weeks or so and just needed a chance to evaluate me in person to get a better view," Smith said. "A couple coaches came by during spring practice last week and today my coach was on the phone with Sumlin and then I got on.
