From the outset of the football season there were tremendous possibilities for Texas A&M.

If the ninth-ranked Aggies (5-0) can defeat No. 10 Alabama (5-1) on Saturday at Kyle Field, those possibilities become probabilities.

Sure, there would still be work to do, but a victory gives A&M essentially a three-game lead over Alabama in the SEC West Division race (because of tie-breakers). A win makes A&M a bona fide contender to win the SEC championship.
