If there's any single biggest takeaway from Texas A&M's Wednesday night victory over Florida Gulf Coast, it is that the Aggies appeared to lose focus yet still won by 10 points. However, there are lessons to be taken to heart before heading to Arizona State.

1. Body language: This was the first game of the year where I thought the Texas A&M basketball team, as a whole, wasn't mentally prepared to play and dominate its opponent.

Was it the new starting lineup that changed the attitudes? Was it a hangover from playing three intense games in the Bahamas? Was it over-confidence?

In my opinion, the lackluster performance was due to all of the factors above.
