Just like that, the nation's No. 3 team lost its Friday night starter. However, for a Texas A&M team featuring a wealth of strong starting pitching, the saddening departure of Tyler Stubblefield will hurt in a slightly more subtle way.

This afternoon, the not-so-secretive news of a key Aggie baseball player became public.

Lufkin product and junior lefty Tyler Stubblefield is no longer a member of the No. 3 Texas A&M baseball program.

Some thoughts…

• Tough, tough loss for A&M. I hate it when guys don't take care of business when they have a chance to be a millionaire.
