The ink is dry, putting to bed a 2016 recruiting class that was as eventful as any. Texas A&M brought in 21 new players, many versatile and several highly ranked. Yet, did the class accomplish what Kevin Sumlin set out to do?

I did this last year and the readers enjoyed it so let’s do it again. Here’s a quick, bullet-point run through the checklist:

• Needs addressed:

The Aggies reeled in an offensive line group that is more solid than they’re probably getting credit for.

The two-man haul in the backfield was a very good one — but only if Rakeem Boyd makes it in — in addition to adding Keith Ford to the roster since last February. 

At quarterback, Kevin Sumlin and Co.
