Much attention has focused on Texas A&M's four starting seniors, but what helped power Wednesday's win over Mississippi State may have been an indicator of the future after them. Meanwhile, the Aggies learned something else about themselves in the close victory.

1. The future is bright: Exactly half of Texas A&M's 68 points were scored by underclassmen on the team, with 28 of those 34 points being tallied by freshmen. Tyler Davis led all underclassmen with 15 points and six rebounds, followed by D.J. Hogg's 10 points in 18 minutes.

Hogg scored all of his points in the first half, which was very timely as Danuel House was the exact opposite (zero points in the first half, 16 in the second half).
