No doubt, thousands of Aggies descended on North Gate watering holes Saturday night to raise pitchers of beer in celebration of the Aggies’ 31-24 football season-opening victory over 16th-ranked UCLA.

But some Aggies probably lowered those pitchers and cried in their beer.

Those battered Aggies have been through this before.

Two years ago A&M opened the season with a win over No. 9 South Carolina, but faltered in the second half of the season.
